When one thinks of vintage watches, digital displays don’t quite come to mind. But they should. The electric digital display has been around since the early 1970s. Now, nearly 50 years after it was first introduced, Adidas is paying the old school style a bit of an homage with their new Archive M1.

The 36mm watch, the first in a new collection from Adidas, comes in either gold, silver, or black and features a custom made movement with a day date and stopwatch function. Each one of the watches comes with a five link metal bracelet that attaches with a jewelry clasp. And to top it off? The buttons that operate the watch’s functions look a bit like the EVA plugs from the super popular NMD’s.
