Yamaha Virago 750 ‘Scout’ by Industrial Moto

If there’s an ideal and popular canvas out there for custom motorcycle projects it’s certainly the Yamaha Virago – and the XV is one of our personal favorites. Not surprisingly, the talented crew over at Industrial Moto feels the same way, and chose this beloved XV750 donor bike for their latest project.

Beginning its life as an ’83 Yamaha XV750 Virago, “Project Scout” is designed as a tribute to the rugged International Scout 4x4s of the 1970s. So, alongside a new rustic paint job, this XV750 was hooked up additional handmade parts – including custom handlebars, foot controls, foot pegs, exhaust, and a hand-milled triple tree complete with Motogadget tachometer/speedometer embedded within. Also, the build now features a suspension that was modded out with a GSX-R mono shock, rebuilt forks, a completely rebuilt motor and chassis, a new subframe, saddle upholstered with a black tweed fabric, and an all-new electrical unit powered by Motogadget’s m.unit blue – allowing the rider’s phone to act as the ignition system along with plenty of other handy wireless features. Old soul with a new-age heart. Thanks Industrial Moto.
