Here, under the hood of the Shelby GT350 Prototype 001 is a matching numbers high performance 289ci V8 engine and 4-speed T10 manual transmission. Initially built to race in SCCA competitions, this was Shelby American’s test car that was also used to evaluate vinyl roof treatment – showcased by the one-of-a-kind blue vinyl roof top. Additional features include aluminum inside rear-quarter window trim, rear brake cooling ductwork and it’s the only GT350 to feature upscale Pony upholstery. Slated to hit Barrett-Jackson’s 2018 Scottsdale Auction, this original prototype is sure to be a showstopper amongst the crowd. No word on pricing just yet.
