Taking inspiration from an old muscle car cruising around their hometown of Spring Green, Wisconsin, Ringbrothers co-founders Jim and Mike Ring gave themselves 12 months to piece together a beastly 1972 Javelin for this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Needless to say, they pulled it off. Now, the Jalop Gold AMC Javelin – dubbed “Defiant” – is powered by a Wegner Motorsports 6.2 liter Hemi Mopar Hellcat engine that’s fitted with a Whipple 4.5-liter Supercharger. The result – an absolutely insane 1,036 horsepower under the hood, backed by a Bowler automatic trans with a QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft to deliver all that power to the wheels. Custom Flowmaster headers and exhaust also let this Javelin growl with authority, while an extended wheelbase gives this ride a more aggressive stance. Inside, a Kicker sound system, Classic Instruments gauges, and custom Upholstery Unlimited seats adorn the interior. Finally, to round everything out, a set of HRE Performance Wheels wrapped in Michelin tires keep “Defiant” grounded in style.
