1969 Dodge Charger ‘Defector’ By Ringbrothers

Some of the absolute best car customizations are the ones that require a keen eye to decipher how much work was put into them. And that’s exactly the case with this 1969 Dodge Charger build by Ringbrothers – appropriately dubbed ‘Defector’ – which took over 4,700 hours of labor to build.

The intention of the build was to create a comprehensively altered exterior without compromising the original car’s signature styling. We think Ringbrothers have managed to do just that. And it’s even more impressive when you consider the extremity of the work – which included shortening the rear end by 2 inches, extending the wheelbase by 3, opening up the rear wheel wells to expose custom 19-inch HRE machined wheels, and adding a lower front valence. They also dropped in a Wegner Motorsports 6.4-liter HEMI engine and added six-piston Baer brakes to ensure that the burly beast can come to a smooth and complete stop. Though certainly not a build for purists, this badass restomod gets our seal of approval.
