Jaguar’s E-Type is a legendary vehicle. In fact, it’s definitely in the conversation for the greatest car of all time. But, the old classics are slowly dying off as the widespread usage of fossil fuels is petering out. Thankfully, Jaguar isn’t content to just lay this stunningly gorgeous vehicle to rest. Instead, they’ve introduced a new all-electric version, called the E-Type Zero.

Based on the 1968 Series 1.5 Jaguar E-type Roadster, this handsome redux looks like a classic through-and-through, with the same perfect styling that made Enzo Ferrari call it “the most beautiful car in the world.” Under the hood, however, it’s an entirely different beast – with a cutting-edge all-electric 220kW powertrain capable of pushing this car from 0-62 mph in just 5.5 seconds (that’s nearly a full second faster than the original) and giving it a range of about 170 miles per charge. Jaguar is still in the prototyping phase, but we hope they decide to put this bad boy into production much sooner than later.
