Having a nice, quiet, safe place in which to keep and use your electronics is really nice. But it’s not exactly practical for the hardcore adventurer in all of us. But rather than being forced to leave all the delicate tech at home while you go glacier hiking or volcano diving, bring along Dell’s 7212 rugged tablet – because it can survive just as much as you can.

That’s not an exaggeration, either. This touchscreen PC can withstand temperatures of up to 145-degrees, can survive 3 hours whilst being battered with debris, and is waterproof rated to last through exposure to 3 gallons of water per minute. It’s also equipped with super tough Gorilla glass on the touchscreen, weighs just 2.82 pounds (with a single 2-cell battery), and features anti-glare technology. Even more, it has expandable storage of up to a terabyte, 16 GB of RAM, and up to 7th generation Intel Core processors. This 11.6″ military-grade tablet (rated at MIL-STD 810G) puts all other tablets to shame, but not without cost; it’s priced at $1,899.

Purchase: $1,899
