Before the Special Forces Issue Rolex Submariner was a reality, it was a vague idea dreamt up by a group of former members of the UK Special Forces. The tight-knit crew of men, now out of the military, were searching for some way to commemorate their time spent in in the armed forces. After some deliberation and a couple meetings, the consensus was to build out a customized Rolex Milsub.

The attention to detail on this thing is incredible. The case of the watch has been bead blasted and given a desert sand coating, while the bezel has been replaced with a custom rubberized piece with luminous markings. On the watch’s face, the text reading ‘submariner’ has been given a desert sand coloring, and the hands replaced with a customized sword set. Originally only available to the group who set out to develop these watches, they’re now available to the broader market. The limited edition model comes in a waterproof Pelican case, and includes three extra straps.

Purchase: $17,000
