The NES Classic plug-and-play console was one of the most highly anticipated gaming releases of last year. It was so popular, in fact, that it’s still impossible to find one available for purchase unless you’re willing to shell out a couple hundred bucks to a third-party seller. Still, there’s a glimmer of hope that we will get our hands on some Nintendo retro-gaming goodness this year in the form of the newly-announced Mini SNES Classic Edition.

Yes, Nintendo is at it again. Only, this time, they’re going to be selling a plug-and-play version of the Super Nintendo console from the ’90s. In similar fashion to last year’s release, this retro console is much smaller than the original, but comes pre-loaded with 21 games – including Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart, F-Zero, Super Metroid, Street Fighter II, and the never-before-released Star Fox 2, amongst a slew of others. It’s also going to support HDMI output for high-definition playing on even the most modern TVs and is compatible with both the brand’s Classic Controller and their Classic Controller Pro. It will be released on September 29th of this year at a price of $80.
