One of the most iconic American cars, the Corvette Stingray, has been the envy of every garage since it was first released in the early 1960s. Rather than just covet the classic sports car, Dave Slater went about building his own 1963 Corvette Stingray out of LEGOs.
It is a little hard to understate how good a job Slater did on these models. Without using any sets of instructions, the LEGO Ideas builder assembled a model that is the spitting image of the classic American car. Not only did he nail the shape of the Stingray with this build, but he was able to dial in on small details like rear lights, hood vents, and split back window. But he didn’t stop there. Slater also went about building a 1969 Corvette Stingray 427, and the 2015 Stingray Corvette Z51. Both feature all the same attention to detail and uncanny resemblance to the real thing. Now if only we could park one in our garage.
