We think it’s a pretty common conception that you can make anything cooler by offering it in black. But, what do you do to make something cooler when it’s already offered in black? As it turns out, BMW has an answer for you: make it even more black. Or at least that’s the message we’re receiving from the unveiling of their Black Fire Edition X5 and X6 M cars.

Starting in August of this year, both of these cars will be available in a trim package that BMW is calling powerful, exciting, and exclusive. It includes Sapphire Black Metallic paintwork, carbon fiber wing mirror caps, a blacked-out grille, and even all-black forged 21-inch M alloy wheels. And that’s just the inside. The cabin is done up in bicolor black and Mugello red Merino leather and features a BMW Individual headliner in anthracite, piano finished black interior trim, a BMW M Performance Alcantara steering wheel, and exclusive model badging. No price has been released as of yet, but we expect to hear something more soon.
