Whether you’re on the road for months at a time or only heading out for the weekend, a reliable tent can spell the difference between an enjoyable time away from life’s distractions or a burdensome night in the unknown. Thanks to iKamper, the makers of this incredibly modular SkyCamp rooftop tent, it’s all about where the road leads next, not whether your tent will make it through the night.

Simply put, the SkyCamp is a traveler-friendly tent that attaches to your roof and expands into a full-sized tent in less than one minute. Once expanded, it can comfortably fit two adults and two children with the help of a built-in king-sized mattress. It’s made with a fiber reinforced hard shell, boasts a strong honeycomb panel floor, features a waterproof and windproof fabric construction, and comes equipped with an embedded collapsible ladder. Buyers can also opt for a handful of additional pieces as well including an awning, annex room, storage areas, a wind deflector, shoe rack, and anti-theft lock. The SkyCamp is currently available on Kickstarter with early bird specials and is slated to retail for $2,950. [Purchase]
