While most people probably associate Mercedes-Benz with luxury commuter vehicles, they actually make a full range of work trucks as well. And we don’t just mean Sprinter vans and semi-trucks, either. In fact, their Unimog range of vehicles have acted as everything from expedition-style RVs to Alpine fire engines – like this one that’s up for auction.

A 1987 model, this one was decommissioned with just 45,000 kilometers (roughly 27,000 miles) on the odometer. It’s equipped with an incredibly powerful 5.6 liter OM532a diesel engine – which has been recently serviced – and has a secondary 1.5-liter Renault engine that powers the onboard water pump. And while it certainly isn’t going to rank on most collector’s classic vehicle lists, its killer backstory and raw capability definitely place it toward the top of our badass vehicle scale.

Purchase: $22,000+
