Kayaking can be a great way to spend an afternoon in the outdoors, taking in the sights and sounds of the natural world. However, the traditional format of the kayak lends itself to a large and cumbersome shape that’s not easily transported from place to place. That is until now, thanks to the Justin Case Kayak, a foldable and transportable kayak that weighs under six pounds.

Developed by Inna Morgan, a Canadian outdoor enthusiast who came up with the idea back in 2015, the motivation was born out of the frustration Morgan experienced from traditional kayaks. So, after two years of research and development the final product can now carry over 250 pounds, is fully assembled in just 10 minutes, and folds down to a 40 x 6-inch pack that can easily be stored or packed away. The Justin Case Kayak is also made with a carbon fiber frame, a ripstop skin, and slated for a Kickstarter campaign to take effect at the end of this month. Reservations start at $690. [Purchase]
