2017 Shelby Mustang Wide Body Super Snake
For those of you who are unfamiliar, Carroll Shelby is responsible for creating some of the greatest Mustangs ever to grace the roads of this planet. And, although he unfortunately passed on in 2012, the company that bears his name continues to produce absurdly drool-worthy vehicles. Take, for instance, their latest creation: the 2017 Shelby Mustang Wide Body Super Snake.
Although it is, as of now, just a concept, this beefy muscle car embodies so much of what makes Shelby Mustangs so great. It features extra wide (4 more inches to the rear track and 2.5 to the front) and low stance, as well as more aggressive styling – including a new “Lightning Blue” paint scheme. And, while this version still packs the same 750 horsepower 5.0-liter V8 found in standard Super Snakes, it benefits from an upgraded Shelby spec track suspension and a Brembo brake system (with 16-inch rotors mated to four-piston calipers up front and 14-inch rotors mated to six-piston calipers in the rear). Needless to say, we’ll be impatiently awaiting more news about this beast’s potential availability in the near future.
