2017 RUF CTR Supercar

Porsche has made some of the best cars of all time. In fact, they still do. But sometimes we find ourselves yearning for the styling of their vehicles from years ago. And while they’re not making them anymore, we are fortunate enough to have a brand like RUF around to give us that retro dose. Their latest release boasts spot-on classic Porsche looks. But if you think the 2017 CTR is just a throwback car, you’d be entirely wrong.

With its styling a tribute to that of their 1987 “Yellow Bird,” this is RUF’s 30th anniversary edition CTR. It also happens to be the first that isn’t based on a Porsche chassis. This one makes use of an in-house carbon fiber monocoque structure with steel crash structures at the front and rear. It also houses a 3.6-liter flat-six 700 horsepower engine – which produces 649 lb-ft of torque and gives the car a 223 mph speed cap. And with a 0-62 time of just 3.5 seconds, this baby has plenty of get-up-and-go. While they haven’t revealed price, you can expect this incredible little car to cost an appropriately high price.
