When it comes to solid touring cars the Porsche Panamera is just about the cream of the crop. Released back in 2009, the car quickly became a favorite among enthusiasts due to its large capacity – four seats – and solid drive. The sports car marquee just recently announced an updated version of the car that slims it down a bit while adding in more muscle.
With a lowered roof profile, beefier shoulder, and headlamps that have been broadened a bit – the car has a much sleeker and fast look to it, seeming to borrow more from the 911. In addition to these stylistic changes in the body, the interior of the car is much lighter and the suspension system updated with electronic dampers, torque vectoring, and a 4D suspension system. The whole car is powered by a direct inject 2.9 liter twin turbo V6 with 440 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 405 pound feet of torque from 1,750 to 5,500rpm . Of if you want to go for the top model the marquee is offering, you can get a bit more punch thanks to a V8 with 550 horses and 567 pound feet of torque. Both engines drive power through an eight speed PDK transmission for smooth shifting. Oh, and did we mention that this has a retractable rear spoiler, too? Yeah. Prices will range between $100,000 and $150,000. [Purchase]
