2017 Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta Supercar

Just like that, the one-off Rolls-Royce Sweptail is knocked off the throne, as it’s no longer the world’s most expensive new car. The beautiful Pagani Zonda HP Barchetta, the last of an 18 year run for the Zonda, is crowned the new champ, as it was sold for $17.5 million, which is $4.5 million more than the Sweptail.

Revving a naturally aspirated 7.3-liter V12 with 789hp, paired with a six-speed manual transmission, this roofless supercar can really fly on the road. It also features massive 380m ventilated disc brakes all around, along with six-piston calipers up front and four at the back, a technical locking diff and rear-wheel drive. For a slick visual touch, the 20-inch front and 21-inch rear aluminum wheels have different color inlays on the left and right. Unfortunately, there are only three examples of this mythical beast and all of them are spoken for.
