With all the teasers out there in the run-up to the Geneva Motor Show, we may have found the toughest vehicle yet. The Mercedes-Benz Maybach S600 Guard, featuring the quintessential smooth Mercedes design, is a certified VR10 vehicle, meaning the bodywork and windows can withstand bullets fired from an assault rifle and even a bomb blast. And with the release of the vehicle this Spring in Geneva, they’re available for civilians for about $516,000.

The Maybach’s body shell is reinforced with special steel and polycarbonate coated windows on the inside to prevent splintering if they blowout during an explosion. The underside of the vehicle is also protected in case anyone decides to roll a grenade under your Maybach on the way to Target. Obviously, the vehicle will need a bit more power under the hood to handle the extra weight. Luckily, however, the car won’t appear any different than the stock version, adding to the Maybach’s stealth appeal.
