2017 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe

Earlier this week Benz gave us a look at the new generation C-Class. Now the brand has really captured our attention with the unveiling of the high performance 2017 C63 AMG Coupe.

Let’s start with aesthetics. The vehicle looks spot on, gorgeous, luxurious and aggressive all at the same time. It’s been outfitted with a more muscular looking hood that extends an additional 2.3 inches in length, while the backside gets a new diffuser upgrade, complete with chrome-tipped exhausts. Benz also delivered in the performance department, throwing in a 4.0-liter V8 pumping out 469 horsepower, a setup that’s good for a 0-60 mph time of 3.9 seconds on its way to a 155 mph top speed (electronically limited). It’s equipped with an AMG 7-speed sport transmission, rear-axle LSD and AMG Dynamic Selection transmission modes for fine tuning your driving preferences based on road conditions. For those looking for a bit more, the company will also be offering an “S” model with 503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, shedding off a tenth of a second in the 0-60 mph time (3.8 seconds), and helping the coupe top out at 180 mph on the track.
