For a lot of car enthusiasts, the beginning of a family spells the end of an era of car ownership. When you have kids to transport to school and soccer practice, it gets hard to justify a set of wheels whose primary function is to be driven just for the fun of it. It doesn’t have to be that way though. Thanks to cars like Mercedes-AMG’s 2017 GLC43 Coupe, drivers can have all of the utility of an SUV along with the look and oomph of a faster looking car.
This particular vehicle from the legendary German car maker will have a lot of that ‘oomph’ thanks to the its 3.0 liter twin turbo charged V6. That engine can produce 362 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque through an all wheel drive nine speed automatic transmission, propelling the vehicle to 60 miles per hour in just 4.8 seconds. Of course, given who makes this, the GLC43 Coupe offers a whole lot more than muscle. The interior of the car features sport seats upholstered with a black MB-Tex stitched with a red thread, aggressive metal pedals, and a checkered speedometer to further emphasize the racing feel.
