Adventure bikes are outfitted to undertake the world’s most arduous expeditions — braving a slew of different environments thanks to tailored customizations. El Solitario’s 2017 Harley-Davidson 1200 Roadster is one such moto — built to withstand the brunt of the Sahara’s most menacing inhibitors — and with a name like the “Desert Wolf,” it’s certainly a predator in its own right.

This purpose-driven custom motorcycle was prepared for an extensive trip through one of the hottest locales on the planet. It’s the recipient of a number of high-profile upgrades, including a 2-in-1 stainless steel exhaust and Screaming Eagle intake coupled with an improved ECU unit for enhanced power delivery. Easton fat bars and Bark Buster’s carbon fiber handguards serve to protect the rider’s hands during dangerous high-speed pursuits, while Ohlins Racing custom shocks adorn the front and rear of the cycle for improved handling in sand and dirt. A Rekluse automatic clutch and left-handed brake lever allow for easier traversing while a pair of 19-inch Kineo wheels and flat track tires give the bike exceptional grip on sand-covered roadways.

Purchase: $61,625
