The end of the year brings a whole lot more than just the falling of leaves and snow – it also marks a time when new cars and motorcycles are being announced. One of the ones we’re most excited about so far? The 2017 Ducati Monster 1200 R.

Since the early 1990s the brand has been putting out extremely aggressive naked bikes built for zooming around town and speeding down the track. This newest model is no exception. It features an updated 11 degree DS Testastretta engine that is capable of pushing out 160 horses through a 6 speed transmission to a Tri-W spoke forged alloy wheel sporting a Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa. To match the powerful engine the bike is set up with Brembo Monobloc 4 piston calipers on the front and 2 piston calipers on the back – both with ABS as a standard feature. Along with updates to the power plant, the bike sports a slightly smaller wheelbase, and boasts a wet weight of 456 pounds. All of this put together makes it the most aggressive naked bike the motorcycle marque has ever released. [Purchase]
