As if the Aston Martin Vantage wasn’t powerful enough with its big V8, impressive sprint times, and iconic look – the stalwart auto company has given the vehicle a track-ready overhaul with the Vantage GT8. This street legal car boasts the best of both worlds – with an impressive powerplant and all the amenities you’d expect from a road-ready sports car.
Powered by a more aggressive 4.7 liter V8 engine that delivers 446 horses to the rear wheels through a six speed manual or seven speed Sportshift paddle-shift transmission, this car is sure to be able to eat up some pavement as soon as they roll out of production. The increased power coming from under the hood isn’t the only thing that got an update with this vehicle – the body was given lighter carbon fiber door panels, seats, and polycarbonate windows making it roughly 220 pounds lighter than the stock Vantage. This vehicle also gets all the comforts you’d expect from a road-ready Aston Martin; an A/C system, power adjustable seats, and an entertainment system that includes a bumping audio setup. Unfortunately – this model won’t heading to stateside dealers – just 150 are being made and will be selling for $207,000.
