This hypercar is more than just a monstrously powerful vehicle, it may very well herald a new beginning for German car manufacturer Gumpert. After declaring bankruptcy in 2013, the automaker has rebranded itself as Apollo and they’ve hit the ground running this year with their brand new Arrow.
Announced at the Geneva Auto Show as a prototype, the car weighs in at a little over 2,800 pounds, putting it in a position to be one of the lightest supercars available on the market. The look of the vehicle is striking – its two designers credit the F-22 Raptor fighter-jet and sharks for inspiring it. That all makes even more sense when you look at this cars performance specs – this thing is both fast and vicious. Equipped with a 4-liter twin turbo V8 engine built by Audi and then customized to pump out a huge amount of power, with roughly 1,000 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque – this hypercar can sprint to 62mph in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 220 mph. There is no set price on this supercar yet, but it is predicted to be lower than $1 million. Start saving now.
