Smooth, sleep, minimal and aerodynamic aren’t exactly adjectives you’d use to describe any number of BMW’s K Series bikes. Many a bike builder have tooled around with the idea of customizing these things, specifically in an effort to reduce the bulk while holding on to that powerful engine block, though few have succeeded. However, Giorgio De Angelis is one of them.

For this project – dubbed LaDini – he decided upon a 1992 BMW K1100 LT. The goal here was to marry the bike’s notable speed with a bit of style. This was accomplished via a 50mm USD fork and a pair of GS wheels wrapped in Continental tires. Also, at the rear lies an Ohlins monoshock keeping things smooth on the street and alloy velocity stacks now exist in place of the stock airbox working to reduce some of the original bulk. The dash is now minimal, its tail section made from aluminum, and finished with an M-Sport liveried leather and saddle from CLRacing. Quite the finished product that’s suited for both the track and the street if you ask us. [H/T: TheBikeShed]
