Big Bang Meteorite Pistol Set

Approximately 4.5 billion years ago the Gibeon meteorite came barreling down from the heavens and crashed into present day Namibia in Africa. First discovered in the 1830’s the rock has been used for various studies throughout the scientific community to study the origins of the universe. Now, in true American fashion, pieces of that meteorite were used to create a pair of pistols even E.T. himself would be proud to own.

The company, Cabot Guns, first discussed plans to create a set of fully-functional twin 1911 pistols from the meteorite a little over a year ago. Today, these beauties aptly named the “ Big Bang Pistol Set,” were created using X-rays, 3-D modeling, electron-beam welding, and EDM wire cutting in a process that sounds more suited for NASA than a firearm manufacturer. On top of all that, these handguns were also acid-etched to bring forward the meteorite’s crystalline pattern and the bark (the outer surface of space rock) was left untouched on the trigger.

They’re the only one of their kind. Never to be reproduced again. So if you’re looking to pick up this pair, you better bring your checkbook. Cabot set the price at $4.5 million, which would make them the most expensive guns in history if someone actually spends that kind of money on these space pistols.
