Auction Block: 1943 Willys Jeep With Trailer

It is hard to think of a vehicle more iconic than the Willys Overland Jeep. Produced for the second World War, it has become synonymous with a kind of can-do attitude that helped American win a war and cement its stance as a global superpower. Now, some lucky folks at the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance will get a chance at owning a piece of that history themselves.

Restored in 2010, this Jeep and trailer were made in 1943 and 1944 respectively as a part of the national war-effort. With a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder engine that could turn out 60 horses and 105 pound feet of torque through a three speed manual transmission, it wasn’t the fastest thing out there, but it was tough enough to keep going until the job was done. Included with this Jeep will be an original shovel and axe, rifle rack, ammo box, capstan winch, jerry cans, and more. While there is no set price, auctioneers expect the vehicle to go between $35,000 and $45,000. [Purchase]
