Dyson has always had a knack for redesigning banal household appliances and making them both more efficient and much, much better looking. Most recently, after the brand has turned their space-agey gaze on the hair-dryer, they came up with the brand new Dyson Supersonic.
Quieter, safer, and more efficient, this hair dryer is powered by a v9 motor and 13 blade fan located in the handle of the Supersonic. Not only does this compact motor and fan make for better weight distribution, it spins at up to 110,000 revolutions per minute – putting out a frequency that is nearly inaudible. Say goodbye to that deafening whir. In addition to that innovation, Dyson has made their dryer safer by placing the heating elements on the interior resulting in a really attractive looking tool that you won’t have to worry about setting fire to the house or burning you. All things said, this is an impressively engineered tool. At this point though, it isn’t like we’d expect anything else from Dyson. Prices for the Supersonic start at $400. [Purchase]
