2016 Mercedes-Benz G-Class
Mercedes-Benz’s G-Wagon is a vehicle that only gets better with age. While we’ve always loved the off-road icon, it’s become a bit of an obsession in recent years. Say hello to the 2016 Mercedes-Benz G-Class, the latest iteration for us to obsess over.
Entering its 37th year on the market, the German auto maker has left the aesthetics mostly untouched, because why fix something that isn’t broken? The brand has rolled out a new power plant for the G550 in a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, and has also increased power output for the both the G350 and G63 AMG models. To help improve fuel mileage, the company has also equipped every model with an ECO start/stop function. There will be a slew of new color options also hitting the market including Solar Beam, Tomato Red, Alien Green, Sunset Beam and Galactic Beam – though we’re not quite sure how we feel about neon-inspired color options. Customers can place their orders for the 2016 G-Class this summer, with the expectation of them actually landing at the dealer by year’s end.
