2016 Mclaren 570s GT4

Mclaren has confirmed not one, but two new track only models for the upcoming year. The automotive company has been making a good deal of road-cars recently, but the 570s GT4 and 570S Sprint are proof that they haven’t forgotten their track roots.

The 570 S GT4 is a souped up version of the road vehicle off of which it is based. While the powertrain is the same – the car is still propelled by a 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 that pumps 562 horses through a 7 speed transmission – the body of the car has changed a good deal. With a wider track, magnesium alloy wheels, more aggressive aerodynamics and adjustable dampers on the suspension – this beast has been optimized for racing. The 570S Sprint will be similar to the GT4, but won’t fit any specific set of regulations and will be marketed towards private track enthusiasts. The car will be at the British GT Championship next month.
