2016 Lincoln Continental Concept
Lincoln looks to resurrect one of its most beloved models as the brand pulls the curtain back on the 2016 Lincoln Continental Concept.
Ford Motor Company had sunset the Continental more than a few times over the past few decades, including the most recent halt in production back in 2002. But as the brand continues searching for a new identity, they give us a taste of what’s to come in this beauty. Admittedly, this is one of the best looking concept cars we’ve seen all year, and it’s everything we’d expect from an American built luxury sedan. Powering the four-door is a 3.0-liter V6 EcoBoost engine exclusive to the brand, but it’s the luxury details that had us grinning from ear to ear. The elegantly styled Continental sports an all new one piece centered grille out front, E-Latch door handles that run along the vehicle’s beltline, and an SPD SmartGlass tinting sunroof that not only blocks nearly 100% of UV rays, but also helps keep you cool during those hot summer days, lowering the vehicle’s interior cabin temperature by up to 18 degrees. Opening the doors reveals an interior draped in opulence, and outfitted with a Revel Ultima sound system and Active Noise Control to block out ambient noises almost entirely.
