Ferrari has decided there was only one way to make the beloved 488 GTB better – and that was to drop the top with the introduction of the 2016 Ferrari 488 Spider.

Everything we love from the standard luxury supercar, but now in convertible format. The hard top needs no more than 14 seconds to fold away neatly behind the seats, allowing you to fully enjoy the exhaust note emitted by that 661 horsepower V8 sitting in the trunk. There’s even a small window sitting above the engine that can also be opened – you know, just in case need to turn things up a notch . Those 661 ponies make this the fastest convertible to leave the Ferrari stable, and the Italian auto maker plans to officially unveil this beauty at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show this fall. Expect the 2-door sports car to find its way to local dealers by next summer.
