2016 BMW R NineT Scrambler
We knew the EICMA motorcycle show in Italy was going to bring a ton of great unveilings, and the 2016 BMW R NineT Scrambler is among our favorites thus far.
The cafe racer style bike takes on design cues from the off-road dirt bikes of the 1950s, 60s and 70s, but is packed with all the modern day technology motorcycle enthusiasts expect from today’s increasingly competitive landscape. Powering the bike is a 1.17-liter boxer twin engine, a setup that’s good for 110 horsepower and 85 lb-ft of torque. BMW didn’t skimp on the stopping power either, equipping the bike with 4-piston calipers and standard ABS. Aesthetically, the 2-wheeler’s a stunner; draped in a matte silver finish complete with a brown leather saddle, 19-inch wheel up front, and a raised exhaust with twin silencers. [Purchase]
