When it comes to automotive innovation, Germany is second to none, and BMW puts that on full display with their all new 2016 BMW 7-Series. We’ve heard the rumors, and seen the spy shots, but now the brand is finally pulling back the curtain on their flagship sedan, and it’s stunning to say the least.

Two new models will be landing at dealers towards the latter half of 2015. The first is offering is the 740i ($81,300), which is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged six cylinder engine, making 320 horsepower. The other option will be the all-wheel-drive 750i Xdrive ($97,400), packed with a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 generating 445 horsepower. There will also be a hybrid model with a gas-powered 2.0-liter turbo engine mated to an electric motor dubbed the 740e.

Both non-hybrid models have shed 190 pounds, along with achieving a perfect 50-50 weight distribution thanks in part to the use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic paired with ultra high tensile steel. They will also both deploy a ton of new technologies like iDrive 5.0 complete with touch display and gesture control along with 3D sensors to register all the driver’s hand movements, BMW Parking Assistant to autonomously parallel park the vehicle, front and rear self-leveling air suspension, and a whole more.
