Audi has given car enthusiasts a first look at the 2016 Audi Q7, and from what we’ve read, it’s going to be quite a significant difference from its predecessor. The most notable difference comes in the Q7’s new weight, which is 716.5 pounds lighter than last year’s model, making the Q7 the lightest car in its class at just 4,398. The Q7 will come with a standard 2.0-liter TFSI engine that peaks at 252 hp. The new weight change will allow the 2016 Q7 to use 26-percent less fuel on average.

The exterior will also be shorter and narrower than the last generation, but will have more interior space. The 2016 Q7 also boasts new safety features, including an exit warning that will alert you of approaching vehicles or cyclists before opening the door. It’ll also have a new active cruise control with traffic-jam assist that can take over steering during heavy traffic. The Q7 will come in a five-seat configuration as well as a seven-seat. The overall exterior look of the 2016 Q7 can easily be compared to a Dodge Caliber, albeit slimmer, shorter and a bit sexier. The price will be set at around $76,000 when the 2016 Q7 first hits the market in Germany.
