Porsche 911 ‘Manchester’ by Singer Vehicle Design
It’s hard to believe that 1990 was fully a quarter of a century ago, especially when you take a peek at this restored right-side drive 911 Porsche. Crafted by Singer Vehicle Design out of California, it’s more than just an homage to the past, but a full re-imagining of the automobile with parts both old and new.
Nicknamed the Manchester, its exterior retains all the grace and style of years gone by, but under the hood it uses a fresh new 4.0 liter engine created by Ed Pink Racing Engines. Wed to a six speed tranny, it can rev up to 390 bhp while still being light and agile on the twists, turns, and dangerous curves. The entire frame is carbon fiber, meant to keep heft to a minimum and yet protecting the driver from the unbridled power they’ll find when the pedal drops.
