One of the best ways to make a bike your own is to take its standard parts and trim them down or replace them with smaller parts for a slimmer look. This tactic has been used frequently among shops to create custom bikes, and it’s exactly what Rough Crafts has done with a Harley XR 1200.

This Harley XR 1200 — which they’re calling ‘Rusty Slider’ — is a sleeked-out classic Harley XR 1200 that is now more closely aligned with its street cousin, the XR 750. The bike has received new forks and swingarm that have been coated in black titanium, as well as a set of Progressive 970 Series shocks in the rear. The Rusty Slider has been outfitted with a Sportster tank with a tail that is unique to Rough Crafts. An instantly noticeable standout, as far as the look is concerned, is a two-into-two tracker pipe exhaust system. Add a set of matching 19″ wheels wrapped in Maxxis dirt track rubber and you’ve got yourself one fine-looking hunk of metal.
