Concepts of Apple’s latest iteration of the beloved iPhone have begun making their way around the web this past week, so designer Pierre Cerveau decided to do something a bit different with the 1980s Apple Macintosh Phone Concept.

The design project imagines what an Apple phone would’ve looked like had it been created in 1984 – 20 years before the first iPhone. The end result is actually quite impressive, fusing Apple’s old school design elements like the rainbow colored Apple logo with technology from yesteryear including a rotary dial, serial cable charging port and 512 kb of memory. Of course this is just a design concept, so don’t expect to see the Bangkok-based artist’s Macintosh Phone on shelves anytime soon.
