What Tesla Motors has become to cars is exactly what Gogoro would like to become to the 2-wheeled world of scooters. The brand has pulled back the curtain on what is being crowned the world’s first electric smart scooter.

Designed specifically for the urban dweller, this nifty little vehicle emits absolutely no pollution. But don’t let its eco-conscious ways fool you, the Gogoro is one mean scooter. It’s actually faster than your standard 125cc bike, powered by an electric motor that helps it sprint to 31 mph in just 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 60 mph. The scooter is constructed from ultra light, yet durable racing grade aluminum, and like every other smart device on the market offers cloud connectivity through the companion iOS and Android app. Users can check battery levels right from the app, along with the ability to locate battery swapping stations in those times of need.
