2015 Toyota Sleeper Camry

Typically Toyota’s economical Camry isn’t something we cover around these parts. But, the Sleeper Camry — yes Toyota is really calling it that — sports an 850 horsepower, supercharged, nitrous-injected V8. Nitrous…in a Toyota Camry!

The Toyota Motorsports Technical Center took a regular and boring 2015 Camry, strapped on a supercharger, and a wet nitrous system. The Sleeper Camry will do a quarter-mile in 9.8 seconds, which is faster than the Camry currently sitting in your driveway. The best part is, it still looks like a regular old Camry, and that’s the beauty of it. No one will ever know what this bad boy is packing under the hood. Toyota likely won’t send this mega-car to market, either, probably for safety reasons. You know, because it’s pretty much a drag-racer, and dealers would have trouble selling it to the soccer mom type that it looks like it is for. We can honestly say we haven’t seen a stranger custom car to date.
