Nike is celebrating Back To The Future Day in a very big way, announcing that they will be releasing the beloved Nike MAG sneakers worn by Marty McFly, complete with the self-lacing Power Laces.

While the 2011 release of the sneaker was well received by fans and sneaker enthusiasts alike, there was one huge component missing from the mix – and that’s the self lacing technology. It looks like the day has finally come though, and Michael J. Foxx was rightfully gifted the very first pair (see them in action here). President and CEO of Nike Mark Parker had the following to say about the highly anticipated silhouette, “We started creating something for fiction and we turned it into fact, inventing a new technology that will benefit all athletes.” The Swoosh will release the sneaker to the pubic in the Spring of 2016 via auction, and plans on donating all the proceeds to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Well done, Nike.
