When Ford decided to pay tribute to the Apollo Program that put a man on the moon for a charity auction, the company decided to create a truly special edition Mustang: the Apollo Edition 2015 Mustang GT.

The Apollo Edition 2015 Mustang GT is an impressive mix of style and patriotism, sporting a white and black body with Americana accents on its sides. And for a bit of creative flair, Ford threw a set of orange glow lights underneath to make it look like the Mustang is heating up. But, it isn’t just the look of the car that’s been customized, as there have been numerous performance enhancements as well, such as an X-pipe with side and rear exhaust, sport-tuned suspension, six-piston Brembo brakes and custom Forgiato 21-inch performance wheels. Killer. So far, Ford vehicles that have been donated at the EAA AirVenture events have collectively raised close to $3 million, and you can bet that this Apollo Edition 2015 Mustang GT is going to add a significant bit of change to the grand total.
