When you hear “superbike made in Russia,” the word “safe” doesn’t exactly spring to mind. Of course, with a high performance motorcycle, no one really wants to hear “safe” anyway, but the custom made Molot from Chak Motors appears to be both a beast on the roads and a very safe and sensibly-made machine.
Hand built in St. Petersburg, Russia, the Molot is a heavily modified 2013 Honda CBR 1000RR ABS that gets stripped down to its frame, engine, and wheels before being transformed into a spectacularly advanced 1000cc superbike. The impressive selection of safety features include all LED lights, a predictive emergency braking system, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning system, a built in gyroscope, HD cameras in the front and rear, and a black box to record all data. If that’s not enough cutting edge tech for ya, know this: about 5% of the motorcycle is made from 3D printed metal or plastic. The Molot is available now for pre-order.
