Trusting a Berlin-based bike shop with a German automaker is like depending on a neighborhood Delicatessen for a Reuben sandwich; it’s bound to turn out spectacular. So when we stumbled upon this R nineT build by Urban Motor, it became obvious these guys know what they’re doing and take pride in suiting up one of their own for a big reveal.
It all started with a 2015 air-cooled boxer twin that was quickly dressed up and given an ever-so-slight suspension upgrade. First off, the bike received some new bodywork in the tank and tail light department courtesy of KRT-Framework. They also ditched the stock forks in favor of a set of 46mm USD forks from a BMW S1000R. Urban Motor also traded up with a set of clip-ons and foot control from Gilles Tooling along with Motogadget grips, bar ends, mirrors, speedometer, and rear turn signals. Speed Products also hooked it up with an all black exhaust and the bodywork was murdered out as well with the exception of some subtle deep blue and white striping. It is a BMW after all.
