How do you get people to stop using the silly term “phablet”? You wow them with a curved edge screen on your newest smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is pretty much a Galaxy Note 4 (Samsung’s other new phone), but with one noticeable difference: the 5.6 inch display features a curved quad HD+ super AMOLED display.

Aside from looking plenty cool, the curved edge also offers extra functionality, as you can use it to reject calls, display frequently used apps, alerts, a Yahoo sports ticker, and more. For example, when you bring up the camera, the essential camera icons appear on the top edge, nicely out of the way. Specs-wise, it features a 2.7 GHz quad-core processor running Android’s 4.4 KitKat operating system, a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera with a smart optical image stabilizer, and improved S Pen functionality. No word yet on pricing or when it will be available.
