Man’s centuries-old aversion to cleaning the house is about to face a serious challenge. Its name is the Dyson 360 Eye, and it’s a robot vacuum that just might be too cool to not go hands-on with.

This is the first consumer product to come out of 16 years of Dyson’s robotics research, and Dyson says it features the most powerful suction of any robot vacuum. A unique 360 degree vision system with infrared sensors sees all directions at once, and even selects reference points to track its position. Carbon fiber filaments remove fine dust from hard floors, while stiff nylon bristles remove ground-in dirt from carpet, and the robot’s continuous tank tracks climb over obstacles while maintaining proper speed and direction. The Dyson Link app lets you schedule your cleanings and tinker with your new toy. [Purchase]
