Burger King Japan’s Black Kuro Burger
Burger King’s motto used to be “Have it your way,” but we have a sneaking suspicion no one ever walked up to the counter and politely said “Hey just make it all black.”
This right here is the Kuro Burger, the latest limited-time offering at BKs all throughout Japan. Let’s examine it, shall we? The buns get their distinctive hue from bamboo charcoal, which we saw a while back with the Darth Vader burger. An accompanying onion and garlic sauce is made with squid ink, so, OK, that’s a legit thing. The beef patties feature plenty of black pepper, and the kicker is the darker-than-night cheese, which is also said to be made with bamboo charcoal. If you’re in Japan, put some teeth into one of these and let us know what you think.
