It’s a good thing moms have low expectations, otherwise they’d constantly be depressed by their toddlers’ awful depictions of them in their homemade Mother’s Day cards. We once drew our mom with three breasts, but it wasn’t a mistake. Perhaps you saw her in Total Recall?

Anyway, Dutch muralist Telmo Pieper took this concept and absolutely went to town with it. He grabbed a bunch of his childhood sketches, like the misshapen whale, misshapen nail, misshapen car, misshapen bear, and actually correctly-shaped beetle, and digitally recreated them to perfection. Imagine a 4-year-old who was weaned on Adobe Illustrator and this is what you might get. Thing is, after looking them over, we’re just not sure whether to say “Awww” or “Agghh!”
