Kawasaki may have discontinued the W650 a few years ago due to emissions regulations, but that hasn’t stopped the gearheads at Austin, Texas-based Revival Cycles from putting their spin on a bike that was clearly inspired by the British motorcycles of the 60s, notably the Triumph Bonneville.

Despite the phase out in 2008, the W650 has become a popular choice for customizers, thanks in part to its reliable parallel-twin engine and simple frame. In this case, the W650 has been transformed into a nifty little cafe racer, with a drum brake inserted at the front, along with a new fuel tank, seat and rear cowl. That tank’s a looker too, with a sharp grey/sky blue paint scheme. Other upgrades include clip-on handlebars, a scrambler-style exhaust, and a new headlight.
